What's that you say? You missed us, did you? Alright, alright, I'll get to the explanation...yes, I'm a bit embarrassed that the last blog was dated May 4th, but take it easy on me...there are many, many reasons for that, really. You see, since I've been off work (well, "paid" work that is), I've been home with two very busy little boys. And these aren't just any ole regular little boys, did I mention how busy they are? Between Tball, living at the pool, 1/2 day preschool/pick-ups/drop-offs/carpools, a record number of trips to the pediatrician in a 2 month span, a new camera that I can't seem to figure out how to download on this computer, and an x-ray/cast (more to come on that)...this could go on for a while. Anyway, when I finally have a moment to myself at night, this blog is the last thing I think about. Who am I kidding'? I've completely forgot about it! I know, I know, it's not about me...the world is just waiting on the edge of their seats to know what the Crouch boys are up to, I get it! So, I'll try my best to give you a picture of what this summer looked like...
Vacation in Hilton Head...
Lots of time at the splash park/pool...
hanging with dad...literally...
Holiday World with the cousins... adventures at Henry's Ark/Farm...
and...the cast...
Yes...it looks pitiful...and really cute all at the same time. The truth is, save the sympathy, the kid is in no real pain. Honestly. I caught him twice today climbing on top of the kitchen table and I can't even count how many times he got on top of the coffee table. Did I mention he still runs just as fast with the cast as he does without one? He's barely noticed he has it on, other than stopping to show it off to random strangers by pointing down at it and saying "new shoooooooooo."
What happened, you ask? Well, I don't want to mention any names, but we have this older brother who lives here with us. This older brother has been teaching Kellen for quite some time now that it's awesome to jump down stairs - against his parent's wishes, of course. So, last week, baby K decided he would jump from the top stair of the basement...I caught him, just in time...but he had jumped about 4 or 5 and landed on bare feet, fracturing two bones in the top of his foot. I wish I could say lesson learned, but I'm afraid that's not the case. I have a feeling I am getting the first real taste of life with boys!
Stay tuned this week for two REALLY BIG ANNOUNCEMENTS...get excited!!!
Thank you,Kim. And... now I am the one in trouble for not updating the longest, I'll go and grab the camera and upload our summer!
I can guess one announcement, but I am curious about the second!
Please give my love to the boys, all three of them!
