One year ago today, this was our precious baby...
What a difference a year makes...
Happy Birthday to our sweet boy!! Kellen is 1 today! Where has this past year gone...sob...sighhhh, sob....
What an incredible blessing this little boy has been! Not only are we so in love with him, but his big brother has been one of his biggest fans as well. It's been so precious watching them grow and play together!
He's such a wonderful little fella...we often refer to him as our "Gentle Giant" because he has the sweetest disposition, never meets a stranger, but he is huge! People often ask us if he is 2! He's about 6-7 pounds bigger than Collier was at this point, so he's quite the load to pack around! He goes to sleep with a smile on his face and wakes up the same way...he is truly the happiest baby ever!
Milestones this past year....
Walking - He's been going strong for the past 6 weeks, walking all over the place. This past week though, he's definitely picked up some speed and is running after his brother...or from us, if he knows he's not suppose to have something!! Funny how they pick that up so early!!!
Eating - Must we go there? Look at the kid...does he look like he's missed a meal? Like the rest of us in the Crouch house, the kiddo lives to eat! Loves EVERYTHING and I do mean everything, if it is edible. As far as favs, the kid really doesn't discriminate, although he does have a sweet tooth...Mommy takes fault for that one! (Hey! No hatin'...life is too short...eat your sweets!)
Talking - Kellen's vocab has really picked up these last two weeks, in addition to baby sign language - where he signs fish, dog, more, milk - he actually says, "daaaah" dog, "caaaaaah" car, "mama", "dada", "bruh or bruh bruh" brother, "wuuuuzat" what's that?, "mah" more, "baba" bottle, "sh" fish, "bah" ball, "boo" balloon, should I go on? Obviously, the kid's a genius.
Size - To be determined! We have his 1 year check-up tomorrow, so stay tuned for the official stats. We're guessing it's going to be somewhere in the ballpark of, let's say, LARGE.
What a wonderful year it has been! Kellen is such a blessing to our family! We thank God for the gift of these beautiful, healthy children and look forward to watching them grow up together!
And now the pics you've all been waiting for...
Did I mention that he has a sweet tooth?
