Ginger and Josh

Josh and Ginger are Walt and Patrick's parents and they have a camera. Walt talks a lot.

Josh and Ginger met at Rhodes College in 1993 and started dating while on a ski trip with the college group from Second Pres over Christmas break their sophomore year. For some crazy reason, Ginger's parents gave Josh permission to propose over Christmas break their senior year. They were married seven months after graduating from Rhodes.

They have lived in Memphis ever since, where Josh attended the University of Memphis Law School while Ginger slaved away at Morgan Keegan for four years to pay the bills. Josh finally graduated and became a contributing member of society (or at least a criminal defense attorney), enabling Ginger to quit her corporate gig and go work for a nice non-profit, Memphis Oportunity Scholarship Trust. Ginger gives out scholarships to private schools to the underpriveleged youth of Memphis in hopes that they never become Josh's clients.

Josh and Ginger have had much fun over the first seven years of their marriage. They have taken lots of great trips to places like Europe, Canada, New York, Napa Valley, and (of course) Nashville and Murray, KY. They've spent way too much money on lovely dinners out, new cars and fun gizmos, and have saved way too little for boring things like retirement and college educations. But that's okay because they wouldn't change a minute of it. Now they're ready to try their hand at parenthood, and if they have anything to do with it, little Walt will be the first ever well-educated, well-adjusted rock star/humanitarian. (Kind of like Bono, but without the accent.)

Addendum: Josh has (mostly) left the criminal defense biz to pursue a career (with benefits!) in the field of insurance defense. His new job (which has benefits) is with the Hardison Law Firm and is going well, thank you for asking. (Did I mention he gets benefits now? Yes? Okay.)
